The past several days seem to have been pretty busy. Last week Eric and Cari-Ann (and Mitchel) came for a last minute visit. Eric was asked to do some recruiting on campus and Cari-Ann decided to come along for the ride. It was nice for them to visit since we didn’t get to do much with them over the summer. Mitchel is getting so big and is cuter than ever!

Last Saturday the whole family (plus Eric and Cari-Ann) did another camping excursion. Yesterday, Kennon (Devin’s brother) go set apart (again) for his new mission. Today he left for the Illinois, Chicago South mission where he is lucky to be serving many Serbian people. Good luck Kennon! (Maybe this gives me a chance to repent for not writing during the first half of his mission….oooops).
Classes are still somewhat boring but I am beginning to enjoy my infant development class. Last week the lecture was titled "where babies come from." Now that I know, I can correct what we’ve been doing wrong for the past three and a half years and….just kidding.
Devin and I have been putting a lot of thought and effort into our work. With the crappy economy, banks crashing, and less than wonderful decisions made at work, we are both doing our best to make ourselves valuable to the company.
Funny story: Last week at work, everyone had an interview with the CEO and president of the company. Among many other questions, they asked how willing I was to work in other departments (ie be trained in other things). Since I have a lot of respect for the company and they have been very flexible with holding positions for both me and Devin, I said, "well, you had mentioned possibly training me to do some other things. Not that I don’t want to do other things but I think you should know that I don’t really plan on being here after April so it may not be worth the time to train me extensively." Then the president said, "Oh, ok. That’s good to know. Well, I guess congratulations!" It took me a second to realize that he thought that I was pregnant. I was like, "uhhh…oh…no, no. No congratulations." Can we say….awkward!
Oh MAN! I hate it when people think you are pregnant and you’re not. Not a fun mistake for anyone.
I’m sorry, but that really is funny. So I’m not good on the family tree. Who are Eric and Cari-Ann to you?
Cari-Ann is my sister and Eric is her husband.
