Disney—day one

Because of recent scares with my pregnancy, weren’t sure how good of an idea it was to go to DL. Our best decision was to stay right next to the park entrance. Though I never ended up going back to the hotel during the day, it was so nice not to have to wait for a shuttle or have a long walk home after a long day.

The days were long and my entire body ached about half way through but I made it without any contractions or need for major rest.

The highlight of the first day for the girls was their chance to meet Anna and Elsa from Frozen. Obsessed is an understatement. Lucky for us that’s not unusual for girls their age. Disney was kind enough to have the characters available for six hours, unlike the 30 minutes sessions the other characters have. But due to their popularity, wait time was two hours. So I stood in line while Devin kept the girls busy with rides.

For the 45 seconds they had with them they loved it. It was a bit of a stinker because they were in a dark room and I didn’t have much time to adjust the camera. Thank goodness for post processing.

Other than that, katelyn and Abby loved nearly every ride we went on. Standing in line was a bit of a learning curve for everyone but that comes with the territory.

Another highlight was the parade at the end of the day. Katelyn squealed and pointed at each character as they went by. (Thank you YouTube).

At the end of the day we were all exhausted. Katelyn zonked out on the way back to the hotel and Abby didn’t take too long to settle in bed.
